~ Alfalfa has been used for millennia to support breastfeeding health.  It contains plant components (phytoestrogens) that resembles estrogen and can attach to receptors in our pituitary gland, where prolactin is released, therefore increasing milk supply.  Alfalfa is considered a superfood due to its high vitamin and mineral content, supporting lactation and health during the postpartum period.

~ Fenugreek, traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine as a galactagogue to boost the quality and quantity of breast milk.

~ Goat rue supports the growth of breast tissue, creating a plentiful milk supply.  It also supports mothers that may have a hormone imbalance (PCOS) and struggle with low milk supply, goats rue helps boost supply.  Goats rue is from the same family as fenugreek and compliments each other well.

~ Shatavari has been used in Ayurvedic medicine to stimulate breast milk production, balances hormones after labour and acts as an antioxidant to support you through the postpartum weeks.  Shatavari contains tryptophan an essential amino acid that stimulates prolactin production in the pituitary gland supporting the increase in milk production.
